It offers the perfect blend of nature and beautiful culture.

The grounds of the Water Palace offer a bouquet of opportunities for photography, sketching or painting if you are so inclined. It’s lovely views towards the sea and Mount Agung is enhanced with ornamental pools with renovated old statuary. An eleven-tiered fountain and Chinese-style arched bridge decorate one of the main ponds.
Just outside of the water palace are the picturesque rice paddies surrounded by jade green hills, which beckon you to rumble through them and explore their magic. What a languorous setting in which to become energized! Tirta Gangga inspires peacefull relaxation.
3rd Stop: Taman Ujung
Taman Ujung is the water palace built by the last King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Djelantik in 1919. The architect was a Dutch van Den Hentz and a Chinese Loto Ang. This development also involves the Balinese architect. Resting in the vast pool is a series of intriguing, romantic pavilions linked by bridges, archways, and a shaded avenue of mango and frangipani trees.
Wander into the rooms of the palace itself, or climb the terraces for a bird’s-eye view of the grounds.
